Snug as a bug... (and damp as the dew...)

Firstly, sincere apologies for posting this a couple of days later than promised; I've spent the last few days trying to cope with a leaky roof (I won't bore you with details but lets just say that for once the puddle on my baby son's floor wasn't due to his persistant bare-bottomness!).

Anyhow, now that the rain has stopped destroying our home it's back to business as usual! I've been rummaging around the various beautiful handmade shops on Etsy, Misi, Folksy, etc and I've found some amazing items to take us into the autumn / fall (click on the images to visit each designer's store). I'm so chilly so I can hardly resist these cozy beauties! I can only imagine how soft this stunning scarf by Flossy and Dossy must be; made from a cotton, cashmere and angora mix in the most beautiful soft orange colour with a cute little rose detail...

Sticking with the flower theme (and desperately trying to find something to keep my little ears cozy) I also came across this simple but luxurious looking headband by ShelbyRose - she also has some amazing fingerless mittens that would go with anything in your autumn wardrobe...

Of course, I couldn't resist browsing through some of the great new autumn jewellery designs and I came across some perfect little lovelies including these beautiful leafy earrings by jewelrybynala...

Personally, what with the roof fiasco, I've had very little time to do anything creative this week, but I've made a few sketches of some lined scarves and some leather jewellry I can't wait to get stuck into. I love the idea of using natural materials; now that we are all starting to hibernate it seems only right that we go back to basics!

Before I go though, I just wanted to show off this amazing pendant I found on my handmade search... isn't it amazing? It's by CandyApple and it's simply lovely.

Until next time.
